11th Annual March for Parks

Join Friends of Makoshika at our
11th Annual March for Parks
on Saturday, April 25, 2009 and
help keep Shakespeare in the Park!

Friends of Makoshika and Makoshika State Park invite you to participate in our 11th Annual March for Parks.  Each Earth Day, communities across the nation gather to show support for the enhancement and conservation of our local, state, and regional parks and their resources.  This is a great way for friends, families, businesses, and organizations to get involved by assisting Friends of Makoshika in our efforts to promote Makoshika State Park.
The March for Parks donations will help ensure that Montana Shakespeare in the Parks will always have a home in Makoshika.  This year Shakespeare in the Parks will be performing the Two Gentlemen of Verona on Thursday, July 9th at 7pm.  For information on the play use the "performance" link below.

If you would like to participate in March for Parks you can register online using the "register" link at the bottom of the page.  The brochure and collection sheet can also be printed using the links below.  The registration form is on the brochure and can be dropped off at the Makoshika State Park Visitor Center, mailed to the address below, or turned in on the day of the March.  Forms are also available at the Makoshika State Park Visitor Center, the Glendive Chamber of Commerce, and Sod House Sundries.

All participants collecting $30 or more in donations will receive a free t-shirt.  Shirts will be given on a first-come-first-served basis the morning of the event when donations are turned in.  The shirts are in both children's and adult sizes and are slightly different designs as shown below.

Adult sizes S - XL

Youth sizes S - L

Individuals and organizations interested in sponsoring our project can drop off their donation at the Makoshika State Park Visitor Center or mail it to:
