Amphitheater
The Makoshika State Park Amphitheater is a popular location for weddings, concerts, performances and religious services. Information on fees and reservations are available at the Visitor Center, can be obtained by calling (406) 377-6256, or by emailing makoshika@mt.gov.
Group Use Shelter
The Group Use Shelter is available for public use. The shelter can be reserved in advance. Fees do apply. For more information you can contact the Visitor Center at (406) 377-6256 or email makoshika@mt.gov.
Disc Golf Course
An 18 basket Disc Golf Course is located approximately one mile into the park between the Group Use Shelter and campgrounds. The course begins at the Group Use Shelter. Score sheets are available at the Visitor Center and are also located in a box next to the course.
Rifle Range
A rifle range is available for use by the public.
Archery Range
A privately owned and run archery range is located inside the park. For information contact Jim Thompson at (406) 687-3412.
Campgrounds
There are developed campgrounds throughout the park. Open range camping is also permitted. Campers must obey park regulations with regard to off-road travel and fire restrictions when camping in undeveloped areas. Watch for fire regulation information posted at the park entrance or check in at the Visitor Center for updated fire regulation information.
