Buzzard Day - June 14th, 2008
Buzzard Day is an annual event held on the second weekend of June.  It is a celebration of the return of the Turkey Vulture (buzzard), who is an inhabitant of the park.

The day begins with breakfast and the Makoshika Market.  Attendees can participate in kite flying, hikes, an archery demonstration, water balloon launch, art show, crafts, children's games and food.  For brave souls, there is a Kid's Run, Fun Run/Walk, 5K and a 10K also known as Montana's Toughest 10K.  Buzzard Day is a full day of fun for the whole family!

The evening is wrapped up with a concert.  This year's event will feature Cotton Wood.  Cotton Wood plays everything from lively bluegrass, to pop and country.
